1. Client-Side Calculation Architecture

Salary Reality India is built with a client-side architecture. All salary calculations, tax estimations, and Cost to Company (CTC) breakups are executed entirely within your web browser.

Your salary figures, CTC amounts, rental details, tax regime choices, and individual salary component entries are never transmitted to a Salary Reality backend server or database, nor are they saved on our servers.

2. No Account or Registration Required

You can use all features of Salary Reality India without creating an account, providing an email address, or logging in. We do not maintain user profiles or user accounts.

3. Privacy-First Usage Analytics

When configured by the site operator, Salary Reality India uses Umami Cloud, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand aggregate website usage.

We collect strictly non-financial, aggregate operational events to help improve the application. Examples of collected events include:

• Calculator mode selected (e.g., Quick Estimate vs. Detailed Breakup)
• Calculation completed event triggers
• Tax regime comparison view interactions

What is NEVER tracked: We do not track, log, or transmit any financial amounts, salary breakup figures, CTC values, income tax outputs, location/state selections, gender choices, or personally identifiable information (PII).

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Temporary calculator session state exists solely in your browser's memory while you use the application and is cleared when you close or refresh the page unless you choose to reset it.

In addition, third-party services integrated into the site, such as Google AdSense, may place or read cookies, local storage, device identifiers, or similar technologies in your browser to provide advertising services.

5. Advertising and European Consent Management

Salary Reality India uses Google AdSense to display advertisements on the website.

Google and participating advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect or receive information from your web browser or device. This processing takes place for purposes including ad delivery, ad performance measurement, security and fraud prevention, and, where applicable and consented to by the user, ad personalisation.

Visitors in jurisdictions where legal consent is required (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland) may be presented with a Google Privacy & Messaging consent-management message when visiting the site.

Through this consent-management message, visitors can grant consent, decline optional data processing where offered, or manage their specific choices. Users may revisit or adjust their available privacy choices through the applicable consent management controls where supported or through Google's privacy settings.

Salary Data Separation: Salary Reality India does not transmit your financial calculator entries, salary breakups, or tax estimates to Google AdSense or advertising partners.
